LESSON 173

God is only Love, therefore, that is what I am.

1. W-155 “I will step back and let Him lead the way.” I

God is only Love, therefore, that is what I am.

2. W-156 “I walk with God in perfect holiness.” II

God is only Love, therefore, that is what I am.

I My only responsibility is to listen to my Father’s Will.

“I will step back and let Him lead the way,” and “I walk with God in perfect holiness.” Two ideas that disarm the ego’s arrogance: the task is not to build the path, nor to understand it, nor even to choose it. It is to step aside. The true act of spiritual power is to withdraw.

The ego wants to lead the journey, control the narrative, correct the script. But the path is not invented; it is already laid out in God’s memory, and walking it requires not skill but surrender. That is why Jesus does not say, “Find the way,” but rather, “Let it be shown to you.” The guide has already been appointed, and He is only waiting to be given space.

The second part is even more radical: we not only walk with God, but we do so “in perfect holiness.” That phrase is not an aspiration—it is a description. It does not say we will become holy, but that we already are. Yet as long as one believes that home lies outside—in relationships, achievements, or understanding—one will continue to lose the way.

These ideas do not promise a better future; they reveal a forgotten present. And to remember it, one need only release the role of guide, judge, and protagonist. Home is not built; it is remembered. And that remembrance begins when one is willing to stop searching for it.

II I am the holy Son of God.
