God’s Love surrounds me.
1. Father,
You are before me and behind me,
at my side,
wherever I stand,
and everywhere I go.I
²You are in everything I behold,
in the sounds I hear,
and in every hand that reaches out to mine.II
³In You, time disappears,
and space becomes a senseless thought.
⁴For what surrounds Your Son and keeps him safe is Love Itself.
⁵There is no other Source but Love,
and nothing that does not share Its Holiness,
nothing beyond Your one Creation,
and nothing lacking the Love that holds all things within Itself.
⁶Father,
Your Son is like You.
⁷Today we come to You in Your Name,
to rest in peace within Your everlasting Love.

I Psalm 139:5 “Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid Thine hand upon me.”
Just as fish are unaware of the water in which they live, you too do not realize that you dwell in the Love of God. The sun illumines the planets that revolve around it, yet it is not aware that it is light. In the same way, you do not perceive reality, for perception functions only through differences and contrasts, while reality does not change—it simply is.
You are aware of what you lack or what you have in excess, but not of what is. The world you see is a story of supposed absences of love, and you have trained your eyes to notice those absences and instructed your mind to attend to them.
Let go of what does not exist and celebrate what is already there. Stop inventing stories and feel the Love of God within you. Be grateful for your own existence. That Love surrounds you, sustains you, and accompanies you always. Yet you will not experience it until you are willing to see it and to live it by sharing it. Then you will no longer need anyone to convince you—you will know it for yourself.
“The Love of God surrounds me” is not merely a poetic phrase; it is an experience. And the preparation for that experience is an act of will: the willingness to see it. Today you can choose to join that intention and say with all your heart: I want to see the Love of God in everything that surrounds me. That willingness alone is enough for you to begin perceiving it—in what you see, in what you hear, in those who accompany you.
Try it: decide to see the Love of God around you. That single decision will open your perception and show you that it has always been there, sustaining you.
