I This lesson is an invitation to true liberation: to release the obsession with controlling what has not yet happened. The act of placing the future in God’s Hands is not a passive surrender but an affirmation of deep trust. Clinging to the urge to foresee, anticipate, or solve what does not yet exist is a form of inner violence we call “worry.” And yet it resolves nothing. It only drains your energy and clouds your state of mind.
Worry is not action, not foresight, not preparation. It is simply suffering projected onto an imaginary tomorrow. To take care of things makes sense when the time for action comes, but pre-occupation is a trap: it makes you suffer twice for the same thing—and often for nothing at all. This lesson invites you to let go of that destructive habit and to trust that whatever God gives you, whatever it may be, is for your good.
And when anxiety or uncertainty arises, you can recall the full sequence: “This that is happening to me is a lesson God would have me learn… and its future, too, is in His Hands.” In that way, you return to your center. You no longer need to understand, foresee, or control—only to be present and available to learn. That is all that is asked of you, and it is more than enough.
