I am never in danger in any place I go.

1. Your Son is safe wherever he may be,^I

for You are there with him.

²He need only call upon Your Name,

and he will remember his safety and Your Love,

for they are one.

³How can he fear, or doubt,

or fail to see that he cannot suffer,

be in danger, or be unhappy,

when he belongs to You,

and is both loving and beloved,

in the safety of Your Fatherly embrace?

2. And that is truly where we are.

²No storms can enter the holy haven of our home.  

³In God we are secure.

⁴For what can come to threaten God Himself, or terrify what is forever a part of Him?

^I This world is an illusion, and your personal life is a dream. Your true life is the one you have in God, where you create eternally, for to live is to create, to extend, to give, and to love. That is why, in truth, you are never in danger: your perfect condition is unchangeable.

Yet you are free to form any opinion you wish about yourself, and those opinions—ever shifting—determine your states of mind. The apparent conflict arises between the image you make of yourself and the truth God knows of you. The purpose of the Atonement is to unite your will with God’s, for in reality they are the same. The Course asks only that you stop telling yourself stories that are not true. Sooner or later you will have to choose between “being right” and “being happy.”

The phrase “I am in danger nowhere in the world” is as true now as it has ever been. If you read it in the past tense—“I have never been in danger anywhere I have been”—you will see that it holds: what you truly are remains untouched. The only thing that ever seemed “in danger” were the false ideas you held about yourself—your definitions, your attributes, your circumstances. All of that is changeable and therefore destined to disappear.

You, on the other hand, remain unchanging. The only real thing in you—your Self—has never been threatened and never will be. The sooner you cease identifying with the transitory, the sooner you will recognize that your safety is absolute. Believe you are safe and you will experience it; believe otherwise, and you will live in fear, anger, and attack. The world you see is a dream reflecting your beliefs: master them, and grant yourself peace, even within this illusory scene.

Today remember that nothing real can be threatened, and that you are forever an inseparable part of God.

I am in danger nowhere in the world

In Your embrace, Father, I live secure and without fear.

I will not judge anything that occurs today.

1. Today I will be honest with myself.^I

²I will not think I already know what lies beyond what I can see at this moment.

³I will not believe I understand the whole from little bits I glimpse, which are all that I can see.

⁴Today I acknowledge this is so.

⁵And thus I am relieved of judgment, which I cannot make.

⁶In this way, I free myself and all that I behold, to be in peace, as God created us.

2. Father,

today I let Creation be what it is.

²Today I honor every part of it,

including myself.

³We are one, for every part contains Your memory,

and truth must shine in all of us as one.

^I Honesty is the quality of those who are willing to grant themselves the truth, and nothing but the truth. If truth is something desirable, why then is honesty so rare? The cause is always fear. Only one who fears the truth coming to light will lie, and fear is incompatible with truth. If you wish to know the truth, you must first cease to fear it—or at least learn to manage that fear. And you fear only when you believe you can lose something you love; yet what can be lost is never worthy of the Love that comes from God.

Your emotional discomfort is a most valuable indicator. Each time you judge, you inevitably feel bad. That discomfort is a warning signal to stop judgment before it is translated into words or actions that could harm your relationship with your brother. The sooner you recognize your unease and act to release the judgment, the less harm there will be and the less energy you will need to restore peace. Time here is crucial: the longer you delay stopping, the more costly and difficult the repair will be.

To respond with such quickness, you must become highly sensitive to your inner states, both mental and emotional. Your vigilance must be twofold: one eye attentive to what the mind thinks, and the other to what the heart feels. With practice, you will detect even the slightest absences of love and be able to correct them instantly. In this way, you will protect not only your peace but also your bond with your brothers, preventing a passing judgment from eroding a relationship that is, in truth, sacred.

Judge nothing that you think you see today. Acknowledge with humility that you do not understand it, and forgive it. What is real you will love, for it is like you; what is not has no power over you. Today, abandon fear, clothe your mind in honesty, and give thanks to God for the certainty that nothing real can be lost.

Today I will judge nothing that occurs.

I remain at peace, letting Your Creation be as it is.

This day I give to God. It is my gift to Him.

1. Today I will not lead my life alone.

²I do not understand the world.

³Therefore, trying to direct my life alone can only be madness.^I

⁴But there is One who knows all that is best for me.

⁵And He gladly makes all choices for me that lead to God.

⁶I give this day to Him, for I do not want to delay my return home.

⁷And He it is who knows the way to God.

2. And so,

we give You this day.

²We come with wholly open minds.

³We ask for nothing that we think we want.

⁴Give us what You would have us receive.

⁵You know all our desires and our needs.

⁶And You will give us all that we truly want,and all that will help us find the way to You.

^I You only want to be at peace and to be happy, and that is a legitimate aspiration, not a spiritual luxury. If you do not enjoy that state now, it is worth asking yourself honestly: what is preventing it? You may discover that it is because you still allow yourself to conceive of unhappiness and conflict—and that the idea attracts you.

The simple fact that you are capable of bringing about such states is proof that, in some corner of your mind, you value them. Yet that is not what you truly want, nor what your Father wants for you. It is, rather, the fruit of your desire to be separate from Him and to maintain your own exclusive identity.

It takes great honesty to recognize and admit this inclination. And the same honesty, illuminated by the light of truth, is needed to accept that on your own you cannot abandon this fictitious condition of isolation. The core of the problem lies precisely in your wish to live “on your own,” and so, as long as you insist on solving it by yourself, you will not succeed.

To be happy is your natural condition, but it is also a decision you must make. Peace, likewise, is permanent, but it is perceived as optional only when its opposite is given appeal. For this reason, it is helpful to ask yourself, “Why do I keep choosing what I do not truly want?”

Give to the Holy Spirit all the decisions you think you must make concerning the illusions you see, and rest. In your present state, you cannot make sound decisions about the affairs of your life. Your task now is to heal the root of your unhappiness, and this is accomplished by giving your life to God, remembering that that life is both His and yours, for there is nothing you do not share with Him.

This day I dedicate to God, and it is my gift to Him.

I trust in His guidance and let Him direct my way.

3. What Is the World?

1. The world is a false perception.^I

²It was born of error and has not left its source.

³It will remain as long as the thought that gave it birth is cherished.^II

⁴When the thought of separation has been replaced by one of true forgiveness, the world will be seen in a completely different light.

⁵A light that leads to truth, in which the whole world will vanish, along with all its errors.

⁶For when its source has disappeared, so will its effects.

2. The world was made as an attack on God, and it symbolizes fear.

²And what is fear except the absence of Love?

³Thus the world was meant to be a place where God could not enter, and where His Son could be apart from Him.

⁴It was this the birth of perception, for Knowledge could not have produced such insane thoughts.^III

⁵But eyes deceive, and ears hear falsely.

⁶Now error is possible, for certainty has gone.

3. In its place were born the mechanisms of illusion that search for what they have been told to find.^IV

²Their aim is to serve the purpose for which the world was made—to witness to it and make it real.

³In their illusions they behold a solid base where truth exists, upheld without a trace of doubt.

⁴Yet everything they report is but illusion, having no relationship to truth at all.

4. And yet, sight was made to lead the mind away from truth, but it can be redirected.^V

²Sounds become the Call of God.

³For He whom God appointed Savior of the world gives seeing a new purpose.

⁴Follow His light and see the world as He beholds it.

⁵Listen only to His Voice in all that speaks to you.

⁶And let Him give you peace and certainty, which you have cast away, but Heaven has preserved for you in Him.

5. We will not rest until the world has joined our changed perception.

²We will not be content until forgiveness is complete.^VI

³And we will not attempt to change our function.

⁴We must save the world.

⁵For we, who made it, must behold it through the eyes of Christ, that what was made to die may be restored to Everlasting Life.

^I The world is only a way of seeing, a manner of thinking. It does not exist as an objective reality; only Mind exists, and the pure idea of Being, which is One, unchanging, and impossible to divide. Yet the freedom of Mind allows it to conceive the impossible: change, separation, the absence of Light. Change itself is unreal, but Mind, in its freedom, can imagine and project it outward, perceiving thus a world that seems real.

Illusion was never an entity; it is a matter of perspective. Since Mind is all that exists, any appearance of multiplicity is nothing but its own play of hiding and revealing. Separation—the denial of Light—is for the Mind absolutely unbearable, for it would mean being left without Love, without Will, and without Being. And since such a thing is impossible, it invents a “compromise solution”: drawing shadows upon the Light, as if they were forms.

Reality is like a white board bathed in Light. The idea of separation is black ink. Mind cannot cover all the Light, but it can trace upon it forms, outlines, and words, thereby creating landscapes of light and shadow. Then, instead of beholding the Light that sustains everything, we focus on the dark strokes, and from those absences of light we invent stories: “the sky is blue,” “the sea is vast.” The content seems meaningful, but it is nothing more than an interpretation of lack.

This is how perception works: it seeks and confirms the story we have decided to tell. The ego focuses on the shadowed areas and sees threat, loss, and death; the Holy Spirit, on the other hand, directs the gaze toward the Light that remains behind everything and reminds us that only that is real. The world is nothing but the playing field of these two interpretations.

To forgive, therefore, means to cease giving value to the shadows and to let the Light reclaim our attention. Though we may still see forms and absences, we can choose to focus on what shines within them. It is like choosing to see the glass as half full instead of half empty: it is the same glass, but the emotional resonance changes completely. What once seemed a scene of lack becomes a reminder of abundance.

The world thus ceases to be an attack upon God and becomes instead a reminder of His Presence. Seen through the eyes of Christ, what was made to die is restored to Eternal Life.

^II The thought that gave rise to it is more than an idea: it is a vocation, an idea infused with desire for the impossible, and that is what brought time into being—the desire for what cannot be; the perverse idea of orphanhood and loneliness.

The Son of God can embark on a journey toward what is nothing, but he cannot cease to be what he is and forever will be. A mistaken vocation and devotion to what is untrue can only be dispelled by the Light of Truth. Therefore you shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free—again.

^III Knowledge cannot be attacked, denied, or resisted, for the known and the knower are the same. Knowledge is unquestionable, because to know is to be, to love, and to create.

^IV The mechanisms of illusion are the so-called “senses,” from the Latin sentire, which means “to hear.” The mind “hears” that to which it directs its will to listen. It has at its disposal both the Word of God and its own demented voice—its ego, its “beloved” exclusive and personal identity.

The persistence of illusion is explained only by that “love” for the aberrant creature the mind has conceived. And love, of whatever kind, creates. The creature of perverse love is called “belief,” and, being the fruit of exclusive “love,” it is recognized only by its progenitor. For this reason, beliefs cannot truly be shared, though they can be transmitted; and anyone who presents his beliefs may awaken similar beliefs in other minds, though they are never truly shared, for they are always exclusive.

^V Mind is free and unchangeable; its capacity is ever at its disposal. That capacity is will—the power to create. The sane mind creates; it does not believe. Indeed, it cannot cease to create, for having been created of Love by Love Itself, it can never cease to love. This is reflected even in its devotion to its spurious creations—its beliefs.

It is not possible to return to what has always been and forever will be, but it is possible to cease believing in what is believed—and that is salvation.

^VI To forgive is the means by which you cease to believe and return to knowing.

LESSON 241

Salvation comes to every heart this holy instant.

1. How blessed we are today!

²Today is a day of special celebration.

³For today the darkened world is offered the instant set for its release.

⁴This is the day when sorrow ends and pain is gone.

⁵The glory of salvation dawns today upon a liberated world.

⁶This is a time of hope for countless millions.

⁷They will be joined today because you have forgiven all of them.^I

⁸For you will also have forgiven me today.^II

2. Now we have forgiven one another,

and so we come at last to You again.

²Father,

Your Son, who never left,

returns to Heaven and his home.

³How joyful are we that sanity has been restored to us

and we remember we are all one!

^I To forgive is to recognize that everything you see is a reflection of yourself and to cease denying it.

^II Forgiving Jesus is a theme that appears both in the  Text and in Part II of theWorkbook (see also Lessons 288 and 342).

Jesus asks us to forgive him: “I have been welcomed in grace, which means that at last you have forgiven me. For I became the symbol of your sins, and for that reason had to die in your place” (T-19.IV.B.1:1-2). “I ask for your forgiveness, for if you are guilty, so must I be. And if I overcame guilt and transcended the world, you were with me. Do you wish to see in me the symbol of guilt, or of its ending? For remember that what I mean to you is what you see in yourselves” (T-19.IV.B.9:1-4).

This points to the fact that, throughout history, Jesus has been presented as a divine judge who came to “convict the world of sin” (John 16:8) and to die for our sins. Thus his image has been bound to the memory of our supposed guilt. Jesus asks us to forgive him for this—not because he has done anything, but because that image is merely a collective projection that made him the symbol of a sin that never existed.

When we forgive him for what he never was, we automatically forgive all humanity, for what we see in him is what we have chosen to see in ourselves. This is the profound meaning of “In this holy instant comes salvation”: the holy instant can be any moment, because the only real time is now, and now is the moment when we decide to free everyone—including Jesus—from the roles and symbols our mind has fabricated.

In doing so, we remember that there is no future to wait for in order to be happy or at peace; salvation and joy are now. This is an act of will: choosing for it to be now, and not later. In this sense, forgiving Jesus—and with him, the whole world—is allowing the one real instant to be filled with the certainty that we are all one and that separation never occurred.

In this holy instant comes salvation.

Today the world is set free, and we all return to the Peace of God.

Fear is never justified.

1. Fear is a deception.^I

²It testifies that you have seen yourself as what you could never be, and therefore behold a world impossible.

³Not one thing in that world is true.

⁴It does not matter what form it takes.

⁵It is only the witness to your own illusions about yourself.

⁶Let us not be deceived today.

⁷We are the Son of God.

⁸There is no fear in us, for each of us is a part of Love Itself.

2. How foolish are our fears!

²How could You allow Your Son to suffer?

³Give us today the faith we need to recognize Your Son and set him free.

⁴Let us forgive him in Your Name,

that we may understand his holinessand feel for him the same Love You do.

^I I am a great master at deceiving myself. I can invent any foolish idea and believe it without the slightest doubt. I practice this art faithfully, telling myself false stories and defending them as though they were truths. My power of conviction is such that I can even infect my brothers with my latest invention, leaving behind a trail of sadness and despair. How pitiful is this “art”! How much it makes me suffer, and how much pain it causes! One day I will have to stop and ask myself honestly why I do it.

Fear is precisely that: the result of having told myself a frightening story about something that is neither there nor true. In this it resembles faith, for both—fear and faith—are beliefs projected upon the invisible. Faith and fear alike consist in giving reality, for myself, to something I do not perceive with the senses. The difference lies in the content of the story and in the emotional resonance it evokes.

Every emotional state of the personal mind is the direct consequence of the story I tell myself. If I want a negative emotional resonance, it is enough to invent a tale that awakens fear, anger, or guilt. If I want a positive resonance, I can tell myself a story that inspires trust, love, or gratitude. In either case, they are still only stories.

The question, then, is simple: what kind of emotional resonance do I want to have? Today I can consciously choose to tell myself a story that reflects the truth—that I am the Son of God, that there is no fear in me because I am part of Love Itself. And thus, by replacing fear with faith in Love, I will remember that there is no justification for fear, and that my only function is to forgive and to love.

Fear is never justified.

I am the Son of God, part of the Love that nothing can threaten.

The Glory of my Father is mine.

1. Let us not hide the truth about ourselves today behind a false humility.^I

²Instead, let us give thanks for the gifts our Father has bestowed upon us.

³How could we find any trace of sin or guilt in those with whom He shares His Glory?

⁴And how could we not be counted among them, when He loves His Son eternally with perfect constancy, knowing he remains exactly as He created him?

2. Father,

we give You thanks for the light that forever shines within us.

²And we honor it,

for You have shared it with us.

³We are one,

united in that light and one with You,

in peace with all Creation,

and with ourselves.

^I What could be more arrogant than to see sin? What greater blasphemy than to proclaim that guilt is justified, that fear is real, and that death exists? God—my Father—is perfect, and error in Him is impossible. How could I think He has made a mistake with me? How far does my audacity go in sustaining such an idea?

The deepest problem we human beings have is our sense of unworthiness—the negative opinion we have formed about ourselves. We believe this self-criticism to be humility, but it is not; it is a perverse form of arrogance that contradicts the truth. We judge ourselves harshly and then project that judgment onto others, treating them as we treat ourselves—with severity and suspicion. In doing so, we deprive everyone—including ourselves—of the gratitude and joy that are our natural state.

If we were to set aside that false humility and accept that we are as God created us—that we share His Glory and His dignity—we would treat ourselves with greater love, and that way of being would naturally extend to others. To recognize our innocence is not an act of vanity, but of truth.

A living example of this change is the practice of mentally blessing those around us, attributing to them the highest qualities. This simple choice can transform a tense situation in an instant, dissolving resentment and generating an atmosphere of peace both within ourselves and in the other person. It is a reminder that when we behold our brother through God’s eyes, we not only restore his dignity but reclaim our own.

The Glory of my Father is also mine, and today I will not waste time on foolishness. I will go forth into the world letting my joy proclaim the truth: that I am the beloved Son of God, blessed by Him and forever joined in His Light.

Mine is the Glory of my Father

His Light shines within me and unites me eternally with Him.

All salvation rests on my decision.

1. Father,

Your trust in me has been so great that I must be worthy of it.

²You created me and know me as I am.

³And yet,

You placed the salvation of Your Son in my hands,

and let it rest upon my choice.^I

⁴How great Your Love for me must be!

⁵And how great must be my holiness as well,

that You would give Your Son to me,

in the full certainty that He is safe—

He who remains a part of You,

and also a part of me,

for He is my Self.

2. And so today we pause once more to think how deeply our Father loves us.

²And how dear to Him still is His Son, who was created by His Love and completes Him.

^I The salvation of the world and of the Son of God depends on me, just as his condemnation depended solely on me. How could it be otherwise, when ultimately I am the only thing that exists? Yet it is still difficult for me to accept this truth completely, for I remain entertained by my private world and personal stories.

God created me like Himself: free and infinitely powerful. That power is my inheritance, and also my responsibility. Today I choose to honor it and use it rightly, revoking the sentence I passed upon the world that condemned it to guilt and fear. Such is my prerogative as the Son of God. Today I will forgive the world, and thus I will forgive myself.

Jesus reminds us here that this is a course in will. All salvation rests upon my decision, because, in reality, everything I experience is the result of my will. The purpose of this training is that my will cease to uphold the ego’s dream and become aligned with the Will of God. That change of will is the core of salvation: it is what allows Light to replace darkness, and Love to replace fear.

If God trusts me enough to place salvation in my hands, how could I not trust in the power and holiness He has given me? Today I choose to make that mutual trust my guide and my strength, and to remember that in the decision to forgive lies the liberation of the entire Son of God.

All salvation rests upon my decision.

I accept Your trust, Father, and choose the Love that unites me with You.

I want to be as God created me now.

1. Today I will accept the truth about myself.^I

²I will rise in glory and let the light within me shine upon the world today.^II

³I bring the world the glad tidings of salvation I hear when my Father God speaks to me.

⁴And I behold the world Christ wants me to see, knowing the bitter dream of death is over, knowing it is my Father’s Call I hear.

2. Today Christ is my eyes,

and His the ears that listen to the Voice of God.

²Father,

I come to You through Him who is Your Son,

and also my true Self.

³Amen.

^I The idea you have of yourself has no importance—except to you. To God you have always been, and will always be, the holy Son He created in Love; Heaven beholds you unchangingly with eyes of tenderness. You alone have cultivated a negative opinion of yourself, and salvation is nothing more than letting go of that mistaken idea and accepting the truth.

Grant yourself today the gift of your own benevolence. Forgive yourself even for that strange habit of feeling estranged from the happiness of Creation. Remember that your worth does not depend on your thoughts about yourself, but on what you are in God—His perfect and beloved extension.

To be “as God created you” is not an ideal to be reached through effort, but a state that is already yours, simply waiting to be recognized. To exchange the distorted self-image for the vision of Christ is the very core of salvation. Today, decide to see yourself as God sees you—with absolute Love and without a trace of condemnation.

Think only that God loves you, and that you too are learning to love yourself with that same Love. Allow that light, which already dwells within you, to shine upon the world and announce the end of the bitter dream of separation. Today, let Christ be your eyes and your ears, and see all things with the innocence that has always been yours.

Isaiah 60:1 “Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.”

I would be now as God created me.

I let the light of Christ within me shine, and I listen to the Voice of my Father.

I govern my mind, which I alone must rule.

1. I have a kingdom I must rule.

²Yet at times it does not seem as if I am its king at all.

³It seems to govern me, and tell me what I must think, and do, and feel.^I

⁴But my mind has been given me to serve whatever purpose I choose.

⁵Its only function is to serve.

⁶Today I place it in the service of the Holy Spirit, to be used as He sees fit.

⁷Thus do I direct my mind, which I alone can rule.

⁸And thus I set it free to do the Will of God.

2. Father,

today my mind is open to Your Thoughts,

and closed to every thought that does not come from You.

²I govern my mind and offer it to You.

³Accept my gift,

for it is Yours to me.

^I To think that you are powerless is perhaps the strangest thought you could ever conceive. Powerlessness is impossible, yet it is conceivable—such is the power of your mind. And as on other occasions, you should ask yourself why and for what purpose you tell yourself this. If you assign yourself powerlessness and bondage, it must be because you believe you do not deserve freedom—perhaps because you suspect that you have misused your power and fear what you might do with it. Child of God! Fear will not save you; your faith and your trust will.

Your will is eternally free and capable of conceiving and creating whatever you choose. And here lies the key: your mind is like a projector that casts the film of your life. The story you see on the screen does not write itself; it has a script, and there are always two scriptwriters available. One is the ego, the other is the Holy Spirit. You, as the “decision-maker,” are the spectator sitting in the theater, and you hold the power to choose who will write the script projected before you.

If you do not make this decision consciously, the default scriptwriter will be the ego, and then the film you see will be filled with conflict, fear, and loss. It will seem to you that you do not rule your mind, that the “kingdom” rules you, dictating what you must think, feel, and do. But the fact remains that the choice is still yours.

To rule your mind means to accept this authority and offer it to the Holy Spirit so that He may use it according to the Will of God. Thus you free it from all small purposes and align it with the only true purpose: to extend the Love that you are. And in this, even in doubt or darkness, you cannot fail.

Remember: only you rule your mind, and only you decide the script projected in your experience. Choose your scriptwriter well, and the world you behold will be very different.

I rule my mind, and only I must rule it.

I offer it to You, Father, that it may fulfill only Your Will.

God, in His Mercy, has willed that I be saved.

1. I need only look at all that seems to harm me and say to myself with perfect certainty:

²God has willed that I be saved from this.

³And I will simply see it disappear.^I

2. I need only remember that my Father’s Will for me is only happiness, to understand that happiness is my one condition.

²And I need only recall that His Love surrounds His Son and keeps his sinlessness forever flawless, to be sure that I am safe and forever secure in His Arms.

³I am the Son He loves.

⁴And I am safe, because God, in His Mercy, has so willed it.

3. Father,

Your Holiness is mine.

²Your Love created me,

and made my sinlessness forever a part of You.

³There is no guilt nor sin in me,

for there is none in You.

^I Poor child of God! You believe your function is to believe, and you lock yourself within your beliefs as though they were your home. In this way you build a private world out of stories you tell yourself about who you are. But you were not created for that; it is not your natural condition. Now you believe in God… and tomorrow you stop believing… and you think that this oscillation matters. The real problem is not whether you believe or do not believe in God, but the very act of wasting your mind by believing at all.

When you cease clinging to beliefs, you will return to knowing. The mind is fulfilled in whatever function it assigns to itself, and its natural function is the extension of Love, not the making of stories. Therefore, do not betray yourself by forcing belief: stop believing, and love.

This Course reminds us that everything that seems to harm you can disappear the moment you look upon it and remember with absolute certainty, “God has willed that I be safe from this.” What you call “danger” or “problem” is nothing but another story your ego invents. And the being who tells that story—the dreamer of the dream—never changes. The adjectives, the interpretations, the scripts may change, but the narrator is always the same: unchanging and invulnerable.

This continuity of your being is the only real thing you know about yourself. Everything else—the body, opinions, circumstances—has changed a thousand times, yet you remain the same dreamer. The apparent fragility of your life is merely the result of identifying with the stories and forgetting who is telling them.

To accept that the physical is nothing more than a mental projection frees you from the illusion of vulnerability. The body, with all its constantly changing cells, cannot be your identity. You are the mind that dreams, the being who remains the same through every story. And if that being is unchanging, then it is also invulnerable, for it is safe in God.

Remember: no story is true. Only the storyteller—the Son whom God loves—is real. When you rest in that certainty, the stories will lose their power over you, and you will know by experience that your safety is not an achievement, but the eternal gift that God, in His Mercy, has given you from the beginning.

God, in His Mercy, has willed that I be safe.
