God’s healing Voice protects all things today.
1. Let us listen today to the Voice for God, teaching an ancient lesson, as true today as any other day.
²But this is the day that has been chosen for seeking, hearing, learning, and understanding.
³Join me in this listening.
⁴For the Voice for God speaks of things we cannot understand alone, nor learn apart from one another.
⁵This is what protects all things.I
⁶And in this lies the healing that the Voice for God brings.
2. Your healing Voice protects all things today,
and so I place all things within Your Hands.
²I need be anxious over nothing.II
³For Your Voice will tell me what to do and where to go;
to whom to speak and what to say;
what thoughts to think, and what to give the world.
⁴The safety I offer is given me.

Your Voice protects all things through me.
I Just as God is the Father of Creation—His Son—the idea of separation is the mother of illusion. Separation is the womb of all deception, for it conceives of reality as a collection of disconnected fragments. To “understand” something within illusion, you must isolate it from everything else and look at it as if it existed on its own. That is how the fragmented mind functions: it separates, divides, and then labels.
The mind also projects that fragmentation into “space,” casting outside itself what it conceives, and into “time,” which denies access to experience by placing it in an unreachable past or future. Thus, the present is emptied of meaning, murdered the very instant it is born.
But if illusion is separation, reality is union. And that is why reality is incomprehensible to the mind that fragments, though it is always present, waiting for you to recognize it. The Voice of God speaks of that union: it teaches you that what your brother wants and needs is exactly the same as what you want and need.
Do not lose yourself in abstract concepts. It is enough to accept that you have no interests separate from anyone. That simple change of mind directs your thought toward the truth of union. Although your fragmented mind cannot comprehend the perfect wholeness of God’s Creation, you can experience it here and now each time you choose to join your brother in love, trust, and peace.
The lesson says: The healing Voice of God protects all things today. This is not a metaphor: everything depends on your will. If you place your will in trust, everything in your experience takes on the hue of safety.
The world you see is a dream of your mind. And the dreamer’s state of mind determines the quality of the dream. If you dream from fear, you will encounter a fearful world. If you dream from trust, you will live in a safe world. That is why Jesus insists: listen to the Voice of God, which is your own certainty. His Voice not only guides you in what to do or say, but heals your perception, dispels suspicion, and kindles trust.
This is not magic; it is mental coherence: the world you perceive is a mirror of your inner attitude. By trusting in the Voice of God, your dream becomes a place of safety, for your mind no longer projects fear but peace. And thus, little by little, you learn to recognize that union with your brother and with God is your only true security.

Father, may I listen to Your Voice today and trust in it.
May Your peace protect all things in my mind and in my heart.
