LESSON 204

I am not a body. I am free. For I remain as God created me.

1. W-184 “The Name of God is my inheritance.”

²The Name of God reminds me that I am His Son,

³That I am not a slave to time,

⁴That I am not bound by laws that rule the world of sick illusions,

⁵And that I am forever free in God, eternally One with Him.I

⁴I am not a body.

⁵I am free.

⁶For I remain as God created me.

I Remembering the Name of God is not a mystical exercise nor a sacred formula; it is a gesture of returning to yourself. It is remembering who you truly are, beyond your ideas, your emotions, your circumstances. You are not limited by the body, by time, or by fear. You are as God created you—free, whole, and untouched.

This lesson places you before a simple yet radical truth: everything you believe has power over you—suffering, scarcity, conflict—comes not from God but from your mind. It is a spell you yourself have woven. And the Name of God, when sincerely invoked, breaks that spell. Not because it is magical, but because in naming it, something in you remembers.

You are not your story or your problems. You are not what the world says about you. You are the Son of God, and that remains true whether you believe it or not. And the most beautiful thing is that you do not need to be enlightened to remember this. It is enough that, in the midst of any day, in any state, you pronounce that Name with honesty. Sometimes that alone is enough for the mind to grow still and the heart to open. And there, effortlessly, you remember.

The Name of God releases me from all that I thought I was;

that is why I keep it always present in my mind.

The Name of God is my true identity.
