The Glory of my Father is mine.
1. Let us not hide the truth about ourselves today behind a false humility.I
²Instead, let us give thanks for the gifts our Father has bestowed upon us.
³How could we find any trace of sin or guilt in those with whom He shares His Glory?
⁴And how could we not be counted among them, when He loves His Son eternally with perfect constancy, knowing he remains exactly as He created him?
2. Father,
we give You thanks for the light that forever shines within us.
²And we honor it,
for You have shared it with us.
³We are one,
united in that light and one with You,
in peace with all Creation,
and with ourselves.
I What could be more arrogant than to see sin? What greater blasphemy than to proclaim that guilt is justified, that fear is real, and that death exists? God—my Father—is perfect, and error in Him is impossible. How could I think He has made a mistake with me? How far does my audacity go in sustaining such an idea?
The deepest problem we human beings have is our sense of unworthiness—the negative opinion we have formed about ourselves. We believe this self-criticism to be humility, but it is not; it is a perverse form of arrogance that contradicts the truth. We judge ourselves harshly and then project that judgment onto others, treating them as we treat ourselves—with severity and suspicion. In doing so, we deprive everyone—including ourselves—of the gratitude and joy that are our natural state.
If we were to set aside that false humility and accept that we are as God created us—that we share His Glory and His dignity—we would treat ourselves with greater love, and that way of being would naturally extend to others. To recognize our innocence is not an act of vanity, but of truth.
A living example of this change is the practice of mentally blessing those around us, attributing to them the highest qualities. This simple choice can transform a tense situation in an instant, dissolving resentment and generating an atmosphere of peace both within ourselves and in the other person. It is a reminder that when we behold our brother through God’s eyes, we not only restore his dignity but reclaim our own.
The Glory of my Father is also mine, and today I will not waste time on foolishness. I will go forth into the world letting my joy proclaim the truth: that I am the beloved Son of God, blessed by Him and forever joined in His Light.

His Light shines within me and unites me eternally with Him.
