LESSON 220

I am not a body. I am free. For I remain as God created me.

1. W-200 «There is no peace except the Peace of God».

²Let me not stray from the way of peace.

³For I am lost on other roads.

⁴But I would follow Him Who leads me home,

⁵Where peace is as sure as is the Love of God.I

⁴I am not a body.

⁵I am free.

⁶For I remain as God created me.

I This lesson reminds us with flawless clarity that there is no peace but God’s. Any other form of apparent serenity—conditional, circumstantial, or temporary—is merely a truce on the battlefield of conflict, not true liberation.

In our state of confusion, we tend to understand peace as the absence of war, as a pause amid agitation. But that is an inverted definition. In truth, conflict is nothing more than the denial of peace—a shadow cast by the mind that has forgotten its source.

The peace of God, on the other hand, is an original state—a condition of being that depends neither on the fluctuations of the world nor on the states of the body. It is eternal, invulnerable, and wholly untouched by the ego’s thought.

“I am not a body, I am free, for I remain as God created me.” This affirmation is not a comfort; it is a radical declaration of freedom. Peace is not something to be conquered—it is to be remembered. It is in you because it is in God, and you have never left His Mind.

Father, how easy it is to follow the way to You!

It is unmistakable, for it is the way of peace and happiness.

I will not mistake the path again.
