I am not a body. I am free. For I remain as God created me.
1. W-187 “I bless the world because I bless myself.”
²The blessing of God shines upon me from within my heart, where He abides.I
³I need only turn to Him, and all sorrow fades as I accept His infinite Love for me.
⁴I am not a body.
⁵I am free.
⁶For I remain as God created me.
I To bless the world begins by blessing yourself—not as a mystical gesture or a spiritual pose, but as a simple act of honesty: if you can look within and find no guilt, you will inevitably begin to see innocence outside as well.
And if “to bless” sounds too solemn today, bring it down to earth. Treat yourself with kindness. Speak to yourself with less harshness. Allow yourself a pause. Then extend that same kindness to the world around you. There is no need to start from the mountaintop.
Jesus always points high, but He never asks you to leap there. He only asks that you begin to walk, to take a direction. Sometimes the most spiritual thing you can do is to smile sincerely. For every step taken in love, however small, brings you closer to remembering who you are.
The Love of God burns in my heart.
I was asleep, and I have awakened.
I was blind, and now I see.
I was dead, and now I live.
