This lesson goes straight to the point: the problem is not what you think, but that you deny the Thought of God. Jesus does not accuse you; he points out the error. It is not about thinking “better,” but about ceasing to block what is already within you. The Thought of God is not an elevated concept or an occasional inspiration. It is the only truth available, and it is constantly being offered. If you do not experience it, it is because you have preferred something else.
The mind cannot be empty. It either affirms the Thought of God or denies it. There is no middle ground. And that denial is not always aggressive; it can be subtle, spiritualized, disguised as good intention. But if it does not come from the recognition that God is the only Source, then it is distraction.
II Your Father has given you everything. The Gifts of God have been entrusted to you. This is not a promise; it is a description. You already have them. The question is whether you are willing to recognize them and, above all, to extend them. For a gift that is not given is lost to you—not because it disappears, but because you have hidden it beneath your interpretation.
This lesson does not require perfection, but sincerity. What are you choosing to think? What are you willing to give? For if your thoughts are your own, they are useless. But if you allow the mind to be the vehicle of the Thought of God, everything reorganizes itself—without effort, without struggle, without merit. Simply by ceasing to deny what is real.
