This is the holy instant of my release.
1. Father,
today is the day I am set free,
for my will is Yours.I
²I thought I had made another will.
³But nothing I thought apart from You exists.
⁴And I am free,
because, though I was mistaken,
my illusions did not affect my true reality at all.
⁵Now I release them and lay them at the feet of truth,
that they may be removed from my mind forever.
⁶This is the holy instant of my release.
⁷Father,
now I know that my will is one with Yours.
2. And so, today we joyfully find our way back to Heaven, which we never truly left.
²This is the day the Son of God lets go of all his dreams.
³This is the day the Son of God returns to his home, freed from sin and clothed in holiness, his mind at last restored to sanity.
I My Father’s Will is infinite; so is mine.
My Father’s Will is free; so is mine.
My Father’s Will is to love; so is mine.
My Father’s Will is always fulfilled in the eternal present; so is mine.
This lesson reminds us that liberation does not depend on a long process or on external circumstances, but on an instant of perfect alignment with the Will of God. That instant comes when we recognize that nothing we have imagined apart from Him has any reality, and that our true will has never been separate from His.
As we set aside illusions and surrender them to truth, we discover that we are already home, free of guilt and clothed in the holiness that has always been ours.
This is the holy instant of my liberation.
Today my will is one with Yours; today I think, feel, and will as You do.
