I The Love of God cannot be explained. It is felt. And when it comes, it usually does so quietly, without asking permission. Perhaps it feels like a soft breeze within, a moment of tenderness that you don’t know where it came from but that, for an instant, softens everything.
It may not last long—perhaps only a few seconds. But that is enough. Because it leaves something in you, a silent certainty that cannot be put into words. The wisest thing you can do then is to give thanks, to receive it without resistance, and to say honestly: “I want more of this.”
For that experience—yes, that very one—is reminding you of who you are. And if you treat it kindly, if you recognize it and make it feel welcome, it will return more often—like one who knows he is awaited, like a living presence that returns where it is loved.
